Welcome to Springfield Recovery Community Center “Where Hope Begins”

Mission Statement

Empowering people in recovery and their supporters to regain hope, enjoy life and become vital to their community through education, advocacy, and pro-social activities.

Assisting Motivated People in Obtaining Long Term Recovery!

Long term recovery is more than a weekly meeting here and there.   Recovery is a life style, its 24 hours, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year constantly making a conscience decision to abstain. We want long term recovery to be synonymous with enjoying life, meeting new people, attending meetings, helping others, giving back and having fun!

To achieve this, three local nonprofits have joined in opening Springfield Recovery Community Center (SRCC).

SRCC is a safe place for people to come and participate in classes such as:

  1. Narcotic Anonymous
  2. Alcoholics Anonymous
  3. Smart Recovery
  4. Support Groups
  5. NARCAN Training
  6. Faith and Finance

SRCC is a place for sober and entertaining social events such as:

  1. Movie Night
  2. Karaoke
  3. UFC Nights
  4. Sunday Ticket Football

We also offer other leisure activities such as:

  1. Shooting Pool
  2. Darts
  3. Xbox

SRCC also offer computer and internet access to search for employment.  We have also added a coffee bar that will allow people to just come and socialize with people who share a common goal, long term recovery. SRCC  has Missouri Recovery Support Specialists and Peers (MRSS/P’s) on staff to be able to help anyone who needs to talk, or assistance handling day to day activities, or just guidance on where to turn for help.

We welcome clients to come by, take a class, enjoy some coffee, hang out, watch some TV or play some Xbox and meet others sharing your path to recovery

We want to be at the center of starting a path to long term abstinence.

Whether you have already committed to being involved or are wanting to find out more about the Facing Addiction Pilot Project, this is the meeting for you. Together we can make a better community through advocacy, education and support. I am super excited to see all of the changes in our community we can accomplish in the next year through this project!
This will be our second official meeting. It will give us an opportunity to meet everyone involved and continue building our battle plan. The hope is to have 150-300 advocated ready to begin training and engaging with our community by September. If you can't make it please let me know and make sure I have your email address so I can send you the minutes from the meeting.
